a tender getaway
friendly staff fire exits
The staff were very friendly and helpful, i felt very welcomed here. i was shown to my room and the fire exits were pointed out. I think that was NICE to see. food in house and across the road was very nice.
the hotel is undergoing work to modernise throughout, exciting, though hopefully this will include the power and pressure of the showers. the water pressure was a little low.

My double room had a private bathroom. It was a wonderful luxury. the room included fresh towels and toiletries, which i found VERY convenient. the bed was made daily.

The hotel is a short walk from the town centre. i enjoyed the proximity to local shops and restaurants. It offered many options. the hotel is near public transportation.

The hotel offers complimentary wifi access, allowing me to stay connected. It was surprisingly fast. the bar area was open until late, so i could relax. staff helped with directions.

attentive staff great location basic room limited breakfast
The staff were attentive. They booked a taxi for me. The location is GREAT for a quiet town. I even watched a cricket game at the local field.
The room felt basic. The shower was just a dribble of water. The continental breakfast had limited options. I could SEE that costs were being cut.

mixed feelings about the stay
low shower pressure loud outside noise
i found some issues with the room i stayed in. the shower pressure was really low it barely worked properly. also the noise from outside at night was quite loud it made it difficult to sleep soundly. i think improvements in these areas would make a big difference

The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice
The noise from the bar kept me AWAKE. It was very loud late into the night and made it difficult to sleep. I REALLY wish they had better soundproofing

great location easy parking friendly locals unavailable dinner early closure kitchen hours
the location was great and parking was easy. amenities were close by, which helped a lot. the locals seemed very friendly and helpful.
dinner was unavailable and that was disappointing. i checked to see if the kitchen was open but it closed early. i expected it to be open for the advertised hour.

classic decor plug sockets quiet town
My room had nice classic decor and convenient plug sockets. Staff booked a taxi for me without any fuss. The location is great for watching cricket on the local field.
Some updating of the showers is underway now.
